Finishing those UFOs

Way way back in August 2010 I started doing some English Paper Piecing with a French General Jelly Roll while on holiday in Cornwall, I have picked this up and put it down on various holidays since but finally it is reaching completion!!!

It really has been a labour of love with everything being hand sewn that I felt I had to hand quilt it too, but it really is starting to come together.  The inbetween triangles are Moda crossweave which the lovely Katy - Imagingermonkey very kindly gave me as it is now out of production (thank you sweetie), and the background fabric is of course a Kona  Cotton Solid - Seafoam which is sooo pretty and of course available from Simply Solids :-)  The backing fabric is from the Fa la la la range by French General.

I'm feeling really pleased with it, it is amazing what you can do with a jelly roll.  I will post some more detailed pictures and some more of the finished projects I've done over the past few months.

The first few blocks way back when...

The quilt half hand quilted.
